The Problem
Inspection data from pulled tubing revealed elevated corrosion in water injection wells, with localized pitting linked to extended shut-in periods. Stagnant conditions promoted microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC), requiring a dosing strategy to reduce long-term integrity risk and extend asset life.
